The Drummond Report released today has significant implications to Education, Health and every government service that Ontarians will be utilizing over the next decade.
Premier Dalton McGuinty is repeatedly said that the report was commissioned as advice and that the government will make the ultimate decisions. Dwight Duncan – Finance MPP acknowledged in a press conference aired on CBC Newsworld (June 15, 2012) that the pain needed to be taken quickly and that all parties would be joining together to work on the new Budget with a result sooner than later.
It is hard not to argue that significant cuts in the provincial budget are necessary. The question is which cuts as laid out by Drummond are the ones to put into place.
