Enrollment data for the first three weeks of September is now available. The data is used to realign student accommodation and staffing allocations.
The numbers as of Sept. 24th show a planning estimate that over-all was on the mark, with elementary student enrollment at 31,503.5. Full Time Equivalent (FTE) or 16.5 FTE students above projections.
That said there were some fluctuations and significantly a 225 FTE student increase in JK. This has had an impact in a variety of schools. Class size caps in conjunction with the number of students enrolled caused class reorganizations that had not been anticipated.
Secondary Average Daily Enrollment (ADE) totaled 17,928.5 students, up 132.5 ADE students. Notably there was an ADE decrease in grade 9 enrollment of 204 students and an increase in 238 grade 12 students.
