Parents of special needs children sometimes have difficulty finding support groups. Within Simcoe County we are very lucky to have the Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) of Simcoe York. The organization focuses on both Simcoe County and the Region of York.
CTN is currently scheduling their 2010 Information Fair for Oct. 21, 2010. This is an opportunity to meet with other parents and professionals, while connecting with services and support groups. New to the CTN website is a Family Resource Discussion Board a support option you can use from home ( see link below).
The 2010 Information Fair is also offering free skilled child minding for children of all ages and need. Spaces are limited so you might want to call and book-a-head.
