SCDSB Chair Brad Saunders has released letters received from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education supporting the school board’s position around the safety of wireless technology.

“As you note, the World Health Organization and Health Canada have both examined the issues concerning non-ionizing radiation from wireless communication devices, and concluded that the devices are safe. The ministry is confident that these two organizations have the scientific, technical and public policy knowledge needed to make this determination.
Health Canada’s Saftey Code 6 is based on the latest research available to the federal government. Should future research cause the federal government to amend the code, those changes would be reflected in what is done in Ontario schools.” Leona Dombrowsky, Ontario Minister of Education Ontario June 08 2010
