Each year the Ontario Ministry of Education reviews the funding model with respect to Special Education.  The Provincial Schools Branch and  Special Education Policy and Programs Branch  produce a review  and communicate with Directors and Superintendents of Ontario School Boards via public memo.  For the school year 2010-11 SB Memo  SB_17 covers the broad explanations of the special education funding formula.  Details of dollar amounts granted to each board are released to each school board and become part of the public disclosure within a school board’s budget process.
